Barcha looks like it has a romantic dim-lit atmosphere but still felt lively/casual being near downtown surrounded by many other patrons having group dinners. Food tasted good, all the appetizers we ordered were flavorful. Favorites were the shrimp skewer and octopus!!! Only downside was having the main entree: eating the chicken kebab at the end, with the rice being over-powered by the starch of the lentils. Service was great, very attentive to our table. Would come back to try their HH appetizer/drink deals.

Review #2: This place never ceases to disappoint but should come with a warning of a food coma (albeit a happy food coma!) I came here for lunch with coworkers and ordered the shrimp skewers (appetizer size) along with a salad. THE SHRIMP SKEWERS WERE DELICIOUS. Shrimp perfectly cooked and the sauce was absolutely DIVINE. As in, write in ALL CAPS, use my fork to get every bit, would have licked the plate if I had any less self control, level of divine. My coworker also had the shrimp, couldn't finish hers and gave me her last skewer. In unrelated news, she is now my favorite coworker. If they EVER make this dish an entree, it would truly make my day. Thank you Barcha for another amazing meal!

I had the chance to come to Barcha a second time this week and this spot has amazing Mediterranean food! I loved their chicken kebab and would definitely recommend getting it. They have inside and outdoor patio seating and it was nice sitting outside on a warmer day but I loved the atmosphere inside more!

Barcha in San Francisco is a Mediterranean gem that truly excels in delivering a delightful dining experience. I recently visited during happy hour and was thoroughly impressed by both the food and the ambiance. The happy hour skewers are a highlight, with the chicken and beef being exceptionally tender and flavorful. Each bite was a perfect blend of spices and grilling mastery. The lamb skewers are also a must-try; they were juicy and rich, showcasing the quality of ingredients and expert preparation. Another standout dish was the beef dumplings. They were savory, with a delightful balance of textures, and paired perfectly with the accompanying sauce. The drinks menu complements the food beautifully. I opted for the Spanish sangria, which was refreshing and perfectly balanced, enhancing the overall dining experience. Barcha's atmosphere is vibrant yet relaxed, making it an ideal spot for a casual get-together or a happy hour wind-down. The service was attentive and friendly, adding to the enjoyable experience. Overall, Barcha delivers on all fronts - fantastic food, great drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Holy smokes! I had a great meal here!! Service was quick and very professional. I ordered the chicken khebab plate, the tahdig, and the shakshouka. The tahdig's duck fell off the bone and the egg on top was perfectly runny. The rice had a crispy crust on the outside too. The shakshouka was delicious and had lots of different spices (not hot spice). Great sausage too. The chicken khebab was A+ too. I usually don't eat chicken anymore because I ate way too many dry chicken breasts in college (for bodybuilding) but the kebab was juicy and tender. The rice that came with it was very flavorful too. I had three deserts: the strawberry sundae, the baklava, and the chocolate mousse. All fantastic!

Amazing experience. The food is incredible, the service and atmosphere next level. A must if you want to experience extraordinary execution on a fusion style of Mediterranean. We shared a lot of the appetizers / small plates so we could experience a wider range from the menu. Each dish was exquisite. A definite place we will return to when next in San Francisco.

We hosted an event where we had an hour in the garden and then a sit down dinner with a pre-fixed shared menu. Barcha is located in the middle of downtown amidst a sea of high rise office buildings. This is at the ground level with a nice outdoor garden area. We were able to taste many dishes from the menu. Such as the Moroccan cigars (ground lamb fried rolls), beef dumplings and the roasted cauliflower and Fattoush salad for apps, followed by the strip steak (with fresh chimichurri sauce), salmon and vegan plate (with broccoli, lentils, rice, falafel). I was delighted by all of the flavors and taste of these dishes. We ended with freshly made pistachio baklava, which was made in house. I normally don't like baklava, in fact I often find them too sweet but here I ate the entire thing! It was not sweet and had fresh pistachio taste to it. I love when a restaurant can strike a perfect balance between meats and veggies. The service was also excellent. I would absolutely return to Barcha!

Barcha | San Francisco, CA Mediterranean done right! Barcha is a great place if you're in the downtown SF area for meetings or your "in office" days. I had the GRILLED STEAK KEBAB which came with: aji panca, fries, market green salad, and chimichurri. All items were severed fresh including the meat which came hot and fresh from the skewers. From the great ambience to the wonderful service, Barcha is perfect for your Mediterranean cravings while in town.
